On this day 8 years ago after teaching all Day I drove down to Newport with a couple of players to play Bishop Stortford in a 1-0 win in front of 4000 crammed into Spitty Park. That result crowned us as champions with a record 1o3 points which included 33 wins. Apparently the first team in Europe to be promoted that year. Happy times indeed and a massive learning curve in my tenure as Asstsrant Manager there for 2 and a half seasons.
