Injured…The world Cup

A very frustrating 2 weeks being out injured. made he mistake of coming back to coach to early and made it worse so hope to be back coaching early next week,,,,,

The plus side is of course is I have been able to enjoy most of the World Cup. Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Mexico I have enjoyed watching. Disappointed with a lot of teams negative tactics though and question their involvement really. I am sure the Germans will regroup but they have some work to do. Brazil… who knows a South American team are yet to win in Europe I believe !

England? Glad they got the win against a dreadful Tunisia I thought. Still making positive steps forward though and Kane is right up there with the best. Familiar names starting to appear on score sheets now… Suarez, Kane, Ronalado, Modric, Pogba, Costa..I though Costa goal when he twisted and turned was superb and what a miss he has been at Chelsea.

Love him or hate him Ramos for me is best in his position and if you watch him carefully he is technically excellent with both feet, has a great range of passing, defensively dominant and a massive goal threat at set pieces. Best player in the world accolades are usually forward players but for me as a leader and organiser and a great footballer its him!

No doubt the knock out stages will bring its usual high percentage of penalty shoot outs which can result in highly organised sides that may not be as creative or easy on the eye going through but that’s football.

An interesting week ahead and hopefully I am back coaching!
